Thematology

The National & Kapodistrian University of Athens (Laboratory: "Biophysical Environment: Neurosciences & Learning" - Post Graduate Program: "Sociobiology, Neurosciences & Education") and the Municipality of Delphi organize the 5th Summer School and the 1st International Symposium titled: "Nature and Morality: Dialogue for the Survival", (Delphi, July 12-18, 2009). The institution of these scientific meetings began in 2005, with invited famous scientists and researchers from the Greek and international academic community, in the frame of the Revival of Delphical Ideal. The scientific meeting is moved in the thematic fields: Society - Economy, Political (national and international), Education - Culture, Bioethics - Environment, Science - Scientific Deontology.

The aim of this year's scientific encounter is to reveal the contribution of the Hellenic thought and the system of values that this represents, in resolving the huge contemporary problems that the modern world confronts; this encounter focus on the confrontation of the enormous problem of plunder of natural wealthprolific sources and of the  nature as well; also it focuses on the problem of humiliation of human Ethic in atomic and collective grade. All these factors constitute an authentic danger for the survival of Humanity.

Through these scientific encounters we anticipate to give specific resolutions to these problems as well as the appropriate solving strategies in compliance with the global value foundation, which is the most secure guide (as iniochos) for the human survival and its culture.
